An 11-cup deep water culture kit that keeps roots in oxygenated water.
This kit grows herbs and other plants in nutrient solution instead of soil. It has 11 growing sites in one tub and is simple to put together. No experience is needed.
In the box: 1 box (the tub), 1 aquarium air pump, 1 buoy, 1 buoy deck, 11 planting baskets, 11 planting sponges, 1 pair of tweezers and 1 silicone hose. Assembly instructions come with it. Seeds are not included.
The tub cover and the planting baskets keep light out of the solution, which helps limit algae. The buoy sits in a hole in the cover and shows the solution level, so you know when to add solution or water.
The air pump pushes air through the hose into the tub. If the pump does not seem to work, the blue valve may be on backwards: turn it around so the pump pushes air into the solution.
